This is me. I am a purebred Afghan hound.
I was a year old when this picture was taken....
running in my yard, for the first time in months, after I broke my leg as a 10 month old puppy.

My registered name is Hammid's Cobra...but my Mum
has a 'thing' about names, and Cobra just didn't fit with my vivacious, loving, and hyper-energetic personality. As much as I loved to run at top speed, twisting, jumping, and turning, I also would lay quietly in my bed, gazing at her with the soul of a 3,000 year old heritage.
Nietzsche was a German philosopher who said, "What doesn't kill us makes us strong" And NeeChee in Cree means 'best friend'.
And that's where I got my name.
